Media and Fine Arts Career Program

This program prepares students for a future in some of the most exciting career options in today's market. You will be exposed to a wide variety of artistic disciplines from which you will choose to specialize in one of the four areas: Visual Art, Digital Photo Imaging, Digital Publishing or Video/Television Production Arts. As a whole, you will become the cultural lifeblood of the school and be able to put into practice the latest theories and techniques of Art, Publishing and Entertainment Industries. You will finish this program with a much deeper sense of direction as an artitst and a serious step ahead of the competition on the path to becoming a skilled and intelligent professional.

All students in this program will take the following two courses VAMT 11, which will introduce students to all the available specializations in the program, as well as WE 12, a work experience class where students will do 100 hours of work experience in their chosen specialization.

Students choosing to specialize in Visual Art which will require that they take two of the following courses from the Visual Arts department: Art Foundations 11 or 12, and one of Drawing and Painting 11, Ceramics and Sculpture 11, or Photography 11.
